Accounting Manager / Outsourced Controller at Client Challenge in Tampa, Hillsborough County – a full‑time position.
About the Role
The Accounting Manager / Outsourced Controller will oversee client accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support outsourced controller services for a diverse portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Manage month‑end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Supervise junior accountants and coordinate workflow to meet deadlines.
- Act as the primary point of contact for outsourced controller engagements, delivering timely insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls while identifying process improvements.
- Prepare budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis reports for clients.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax providers as needed.
What We're Looking For
- CPA certification or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience, with outsourced or public accounting background.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month‑end close.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication abilities to interact with clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor staff.
- Full‑time commitment; position based in Tampa, Hillsborough County.
