Accounting Manager

The right Accounting Manager will be a proactive individual who is looking to ensure the financial statements are accurate, is excited to work for a growing international company and has strong attention to detail.   

Duties & Responsibilities  

• Oversee all daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, local statutory requirements, and internal accounting policies.
• Manage foreign currency transactions, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and consolidations.
• Oversee cash flow management, banking activities, and working capital reporting.
• Ensure tax and local compliance with various government agencies. This includes Income Tax, Sales Tax, payroll tax and other regulatory requirements for international locations. Support annual audits.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team while establishing strong internal controls and processes.
• Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and strategic initiatives.
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects as needed.  

Qualifications  

• University Degree in Accounting is required
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience is required
• Experience managing accounting operations across multiple countries and legal entities is required
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and IFRS principles
• Experience with foreign currency translations and intercompany accounting
• Excellent written and verbal English and Spanish communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
• ERP system experience is required; QuickBooks Online experience is a plus
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced and changing environment
