About the role  

We’re looking for a driven Account Manager to join our Partnerships community. This role that sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, relationship building, and consultative selling. Whether you’re an experienced Account Manager seeking your next big challenge, or a high-performing Account Executive ready to step up, this is your opportunity to directly influence the digital success of our retailer partners.

As an Account Manager, you will be a partner to our customers, acting as a trusted consultant to help them navigate the evolving digital automotive landscape. By leveraging Autotrader’s market-leading data and insights, you will challenge thinking, influence senior decision-making, and unlock real commercial growth for our partners.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Managing and developing existing customer accounts, building long-term, trusted relationships
  • Acting as a strategic partner; using insight, performance data, and market knowledge to understand customer objectives to help them achieve measurable ROI
  • Identifying commercial opportunities and recommending the right solutions to deliver growth
  • Deliver customer performance reviews that tell a compelling, data-driven story, highlighting insights, trends, and opportunities for growth.  
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing best practices and customer feedback internally.
  • Engage customers through a range of different communication methods.  
  • Embed value and manage risk by understanding each customer’s goals and objectives, ensuring they are equipped with the right products and services to deliver maximum return on investment.  

What we’re looking for 

  • Proven experience in B2B account management role
  • Track record of achieving commercial KPI’s such as; driving revenue growth, product uptake, and retention
  • Strong commercial acumen – able to spot growth opportunities and mitigate risk
  • Confidence communicating with a range of customers and influencing decisions, developing long-term partnerships
  • Experience turning data and insight into actionable recommendations
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Passion for customer success and digital transformation
  • Strong collaborator, working closely with the wider team to share insights and drive better outcomes for our customers
  • Preferably hold a full UK driving license 

During our application process, you will be asked two questions to help us learn more about you, your skills and how you align with our values. These will be used as part of our selection criteria, to determine if we progress your application further. 

Benefits

We’re offering a salary of £32,000 – £45,000, plus an additional 10% of your salary awarded to you in shares each year. These awarded shares will become yours in yearly instalments over the next three years, and you can choose to either sell them or keep them as shares. 

You’ll have 28 days holiday per year, and that’s in addition to bank holidays and half day closures on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Additionally, we have our remote-first periods at set times during summer and winter. During these periods, you can work remotely anywhere in the UK and from certain locations abroad.
