Account Executive

MetLife is hiring a full-time Account Executive in East Layton, Davis County, to drive sales and client relationships within our Group Benefits division. About the Role

As an Account Executive for MetLife Group Benefits, you'll own the sales process—from prospecting through contract closure—while managing relationships with corporate clients of all sizes. You'll present comprehensive insurance and benefits packages, respond to RFPs, and guide clients through implementation. This full-time position offers the opportunity to build a stable portfolio of accounts and grow revenue through both new business development and account expansion.

What You'll Do

• Identify and qualify prospective employer clients; conduct needs assessments and build customized benefit proposals
• Manage the entire sales cycle, including presentations, negotiations, and contract execution
• Serve existing clients with strategic account management, ensuring retention and identifying upsell opportunities
• Present life, disability, dental, vision, and voluntary benefit solutions tailored to each employer's workforce
• Collaborate with benefits consultants, underwriters, and service teams to ensure seamless client delivery
• Meet sales targets and maintain accurate forecasting and CRM documentation

What We're Looking For

• Proven success in enterprise or mid-market sales, ideally in employee benefits, insurance, or group health
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex benefits in plain language
• Self-motivated with a consultative selling approach and ability to build trust with decision makers
• Proficiency with CRM systems and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales experience; benefits industry knowledge a plus
