JY Legner Associates is hiring a full-time Abstract & Survey Assistant II in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, to strengthen our transmission right-of-way and land survey operations. About the Role

As an Abstract & Survey Assistant II, you will help drive transmission right-of-way (R/W) and survey projects from research through documentation. Working closely with our legal and engineering teams, you will examine property titles, assemble R/W records, build basemaps, and contribute to the survey analysis and drafting that keep complex infrastructure projects moving forward. This is a hands-on, on-site position based in Allentown, PA.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform title and abstract examinations to confirm property ownership and identify encumbrances.
• Gather, organize, and maintain accurate right-of-way documentation for transmission projects.
• Create and update basemaps to support land and survey workflows.
• Assist legal and engineering colleagues with survey analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
• Prepare drafting deliverables that translate field and research data into usable records.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage precise records and documentation.
• Technical aptitude for title and abstract review, basemap development, and drafting tasks.
• Familiarity with right-of-way, survey, or transmission processes is an asset.
• Comfortable collaborating across legal and engineering functions.
• Able to work full-time on-site in Allentown, Lehigh County, PA.
