MENA Consultant
Location: Amman, Jordan.
Years of Experience: 4-5 years.
Project Duration: 3 months.
Working Arrangement: on-site.
Language Requirements: Fluency in Arabic & English (written and spoken).
Starting Date: as soon as possible.
We are seeking an experienced ABAP Developer to contribute to SAP-related technical initiatives during a 3-month engagement. The role will focus on developing, enhancing, and maintaining ABAP solutions while supporting business and technical requirements across SAP environments.
Key Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including both classical and modern ABAP syntax.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Data Dictionary (DDIC) objects, including tables, structures, domains, and data elements.
- Experience developing and supporting:
- ABAP reports
- Function modules
- Classes and methods
- DDIC objects
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP, including classes, methods, inheritance, and polymorphism.
- Proficiency with key SAP transactions such as SE11, SE16, SE38, SE37, SE24, SE93, SE09, and SM37.
- Experience with Open SQL development.
- Understanding of SAP Transport Management and related transaction codes (SE09, SE10, SE01).
- Experience with ABAP on HANA, including CDS Views, AMDP, and Table Functions.
- Exposure to HANA Native SQL.
- Experience developing and consuming OData Services.
Other Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively within technical and functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple development tasks within project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain ABAP programs and custom SAP developments.
- Develop and enhance reports, interfaces, forms, function modules, and classes.
- Create and maintain Data Dictionary objects including tables, structures, and data elements.
- Develop Object-Oriented ABAP solutions following SAP development standards.
- Build and optimize database queries using Open SQL and HANA technologies.
- Develop and support CDS Views, AMDP procedures, and OData services where required.
- Manage transport requests and support deployment activities across SAP environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to custom SAP developments.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to gather and implement requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.
