ABA Behavior Technician

Position Summary

As a Behavior Technician with Imagination ABA Therapy, you'll be the frontline clinical support for our clients, working directly with children under the supervision and direction of Board Certified Behavior Analysts. This is a hands-on role where your daily contributions help children develop critical social, communication, and behavioral skills that empower their independence and growth. You'll implement structured intervention plans, maintain detailed behavioral documentation, and partner with families to reinforce progress in our clinic and home environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies in our Howell clinic and community-based settings
• Observe, record, and collect precise behavioral data to track client progress and inform treatment refinements
• Build therapeutic rapport with clients and their families while modeling appropriate social and communication behaviors
• Prepare materials, organize session documentation, and maintain organized client files in compliance with clinical standards
• Communicate client observations and session updates with supervising BCBAs and the clinical team
• Assist with family training sessions and provide guidance on reinforcing therapeutic goals outside scheduled therapy time

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or ability to obtain certification within 6–12 months of hire
• Fundamental knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and evidence-based behavior modification techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to follow detailed clinical protocols with precision
• Genuine compassion for children, demonstrated patience, and emotional resilience in therapeutic settings
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (may be required for community-based and in-home sessions)
• Ability to pass a background check and comply with all regulatory and ethical standards
