The Royal School District 160 is hiring an 8.0 Hr. Grounds/Maintenance team member to help keep our Royal City, Grant County campuses safe, clean, and well-cared-for every day. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for a hands-on worker who takes pride in maintaining school facilities and outdoor grounds.
About the Role
As an 8.0 Hr. Grounds/Maintenance worker with Royal School District 160, you will support the upkeep of district buildings and grounds across Royal City, Grant County. The position centers on dependable, day-to-day maintenance work that ensures students and staff enjoy a safe and functional learning environment. This is a full-time, in-person position — not a remote opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine grounds care and general building maintenance across district facilities
- Apply pesticides and related treatments safely once licensed, following all required procedures
- Read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance guides, and procedure manuals
- Operate district vehicles and equipment responsibly while traveling between sites
- Help maintain clean, orderly, and secure outdoor spaces and structures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current and valid Washington State driver's license, maintained throughout employment
- Ability to obtain and keep a valid pesticide license within six months of your start date
- Capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Working command of written and spoken English sufficient to read and write on the job
