Custer State Park Resorts is hiring a seasonal Retail Store Cook in Custer, Custer County, for the 2026 April–October season — a hands-on culinary role at the heart of our park retail kitchen operation.

About the Role

As a Retail Store Cook with Custer State Park Resorts, you will work directly within our store kitchen to prepare food and run the cook line, helping deliver a profitable, efficient, and consistently high-quality kitchen. This full-time, on-site position reports to the Store Manager and Head Chef and plays a key part in upholding our product and quality standards throughout the busy April through October season.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and menu items in the retail store kitchen with attention to freshness and presentation
• Handle line cooking duties accurately and efficiently during service
• Maintain established product standards and quality on every dish
• Support a clean, organized, and smoothly running kitchen operation
• Coordinate closely with the Store Manager and Head Chef to meet daily goals

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of food preparation and line cooking practices
• Commitment to food quality, consistency, and safe handling
• Ability to thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced kitchen environment
• Availability to work full-time on-site in Custer, Custer County, for the full 2026 April–October season
• A team-first attitude and reliability throughout the seasonal schedule
