What You'll Do Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in college and career readiness to high school students Support students in developing essential skills including critical thinking, communication, and professional habits Guide students through college research, application processes, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities Facilitate career exploration activities, internship placements, and industry partnerships Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate regularly with families about academic and developmental growth Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum with school goals and district standards Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive school culture What We're Looking For Valid Tennessee teaching certification or eligibility to teach in the state Experience teaching at the secondary level or equivalent professional background in college and career advising Strong knowledge of post-secondary pathways, including two- and four-year colleges, career training, and military options Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds Excellent written and verbal communication skills Passion for supporting student growth and college readiness Commitment to equity and student success More About KIPP KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) is a national network of free, public, college-preparatory schools serving students in under-resourced communities.
