Join Houchens Food Group as a Cashier in Scottsville. We're looking for reliable, customer-focused team members to deliver excellent service at our grocery store. This is a part-time position offering flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and additional hours as needed.

About the Role

As a Cashier, you'll be the friendly face customers see during checkout. You'll operate our point-of-sale systems, handle transactions accurately, and keep our checkout area organized and welcoming. This non-exempt position reports to the Store Manager or Assistant Manager and plays a key role in creating a positive shopping experience.

What You'll Do

• Process customer purchases using the point-of-sale system with speed and accuracy
• Handle cash, card, and other payment methods responsibly
• Scan merchandise and bag items in compliance with company standards
• Greet customers and respond to their inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure checkout station throughout your shift
• Verify customer identification when required by law or store policy
• Follow all company policies and procedures

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Strong arithmetic and cash-handling skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Reliability and punctuality
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Willingness to take on overtime when operational needs arise
• A customer-first attitude and commitment to quality service
