About the Role

This is a full-time, 1099 contract opportunity for a solo Class A driver running over-the-road dry van and live haul freight with JACO LOGISTICS INC. Operating out of North Concord, Cabarrus County, you'll cover dedicated long-distance routes while enjoying the independence that comes with contract driving. Pay is structured per mile, ranging from $0.55 to $0.60 CPM based on your driving background, with typical weekly gross averaging $2,500 to $3,000 and miles falling between 2,500 and 3,500 each week. Depending on the lane you run, weekly earnings can reach $2,000 to $4,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport dry van and live haul freight safely over the road as a solo OTR driver
• Run dedicated long-haul lanes while meeting pickup and delivery commitments
• Average roughly 2,500 to 3,500 miles per week behind the wheel
• Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to keep equipment road-ready
• Comply with all DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and safety standards
• Maintain accurate logs and required driving documentation

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
• Verifiable over-the-road driving experience; pay tier reflects experience level
• Willingness to work as a 1099 independent contractor
• Comfortable with extended time on the road as a solo driver
