About the Role
As Banquet Chef with Valencia Group in Santa Clara, you will direct the culinary operation behind banquets, events, and group functions. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and oversee menus and food production for banquets and catered events
- Lead, schedule, and mentor the banquet kitchen team to maintain high standards every shift
- Ensure dishes meet quality, taste, and presentation expectations for each function
- Coordinate closely with event and front-of-house teams to deliver seamless guest experiences
- Manage food costs, inventory, and ordering for assigned events
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations across the kitchen
Qualifications
- Proven culinary experience, ideally in banquet, catering, or hotel food service
- Strong kitchen leadership skills with the ability to guide a team under pressure
- A genuine commitment to outstanding customer service and guest satisfaction
- Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Availability to work full-time, including the flexible hours that events require
