About the Role
As an AFC Home Caregiver with Open Arms Link, you will provide warm, reliable day-to-day support to the residents living in our adult foster care home. Key Responsibilities
- Help residents with personal care and everyday living tasks, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support
- Assist with medication reminders and administration as directed
- Prepare nutritious meals and support residents during mealtimes
- Keep living spaces clean, safe, and comfortable through light housekeeping
- Accompany residents to community outings, social events, and recreational activities
- Provide transportation to medical appointments and other scheduled errands
- Encourage social engagement and offer attentive companionship throughout the day
Qualifications
- A caring, dependable nature with real enthusiasm for supporting others
- Comfort assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily routines
- A valid driver's license and willingness to transport residents safely
- Strong communication skills and the patience to work with diverse needs
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to commit to full-time hours on site
