PHI Aviation is seeking an experienced Captain, VFR Oil & Gas to command helicopter operations supporting energy clients across the US in this full-time, on-site flying role.
About the Role
As Captain, VFR Oil & Gas at PHI Aviation, you will serve as Pilot in Command, carrying final authority over and direct responsibility for every aircraft you fly. Reporting to the Operations Manager and Lead Pilot, you will conduct visual flight rules (VFR) missions that transport oil and gas customers safely and on schedule. This is a US-based, full-time position; the role is not remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Pilot in Command, holding final decision-making authority over the safe operation of the helicopter.
- Conduct VFR flights for PHI Aviation's oil and gas customers in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner.
- Operate the aircraft in full compliance with applicable FAA regulations and PHI's Operations Manual and Policy Manual.
- Carry out duties under the general direction of the Operations Manager and Lead Pilot.
- Prioritize passenger and crew safety throughout pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight phases.
Qualifications
- Qualified and current to serve as Pilot in Command on PHI Aviation rotary-wing aircraft under the relevant FAA regulations.
- Demonstrated proficiency conducting VFR helicopter operations.
- Thorough working knowledge of FAA rules and adherence to company operations and policy procedures.
- Strong judgment, situational awareness, and an unwavering commitment to safe flight operations.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
