Here is the original HTML job description:

Step into a high-impact litigation role with Atkinson Andelson Loya Ruud & Romo, where the Associate Attorney - Construction Law position in Artesia, Los Angeles County offers a chance to advance complex construction claims matters from intake through resolution.

About the Role

This full-time, on-site Associate Attorney - Construction Law opening centers on construction contract claims rather than defect work. Based in Artesia, Los Angeles County, you will manage disputes across both public and private projects, guiding each matter toward arbitration or trial while sharpening the kind of courtroom-ready advocacy that defines a thriving construction practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle construction contract claims on public and private projects from start to finish.
  • Build and prepare cases for trial and arbitration, including active participation in those proceedings.
  • Advise on and litigate matters involving mechanic's liens, stop notices, and related security devices.
  • Navigate bid protests and the broader landscape of public works law.
  • Develop case strategy and pursue favorable outcomes for clients in dispute resolution.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience focused on construction contract claims, not construction defect matters.
  • Hands-on arbitration experience, with at least exposure to readying a case for trial or arbitration — ideally having taken part in an actual arbitration or trial.
  • Working knowledge of mechanic's lien law, stop notices, and bid protests.
  • Familiarity with public works and the statutes governing public construction projects.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
