About the Role

As a Lead Sales Associate at the Mount Sterling store, you will support daily store operations while delivering friendly, dependable service to every customer who walks through the door. Guided by Dollar General's commitment to Serving Others, you'll help keep the store running smoothly and step up as a key holder and shift leader when management is away.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, prompt assistance to shoppers and resolve questions at the register and on the sales floor.
• Operate the cash register accurately and handle transactions with care.
• Stock shelves, build displays, and keep merchandise organized, well-labeled, and easy to find.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment throughout each shift.
• Open or close the store and oversee the team when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager is not present.
• Help safeguard company assets and follow loss-prevention and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• Previous retail, customer service, or cash-handling experience is a plus.
• Comfortable leading and motivating coworkers during a shift.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift or move merchandise as needed.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely focused on helping customers.
