About the Role
As a full-time UX Designer at Cengage Learning, you will craft thoughtful, accessible, and engaging educational experiences. Working on-site in the US, you'll translate complex learning needs into clear, elegant interfaces that help millions of learners progress toward their goals. This role sits at the intersection of design craft, user empathy, and our shared mission of driving innovation in education.
Key Responsibilities
- Design user-friendly interfaces, workflows, and interactions for educational products and platforms.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that communicate design intent clearly.
- Conduct and apply user research to ground design decisions in real learner and instructor needs.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and content teams to bring designs from concept to launch.
- Champion accessibility, usability, and inclusive design across every experience you touch.
- Contribute to and help evolve design systems for consistency at scale.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in UX or product design, ideally for digital or learning-focused products.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong interaction design, visual design, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools.
- A user-first mindset informed by research, testing, and iteration.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working across cross-functional teams.
- Eligibility to work full-time, on-site within the US.
