Role Overview
Sysco is currently seeking reliable and experienced CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to join our team in Elmira Heights, New York. As a local delivery truck driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and efficiently unloading various products such as meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies at customer locations according to an assigned route schedule.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer on local routes in Elmira Heights, New York
- Manually unload and deliver diverse products to customers' locations
- Build strong relationships with customers through positive and friendly interactions
- Ensure all deliveries are made according to the assigned route schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the truck cab
What We're Looking For
- A valid CDL A license with a clean driving record
- Prior experience as a delivery truck driver or similar role is preferred but not required
- The ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues
- A positive attitude and the willingness to build relationships with customers
