Job Description:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Personal Assistant (Legal PA) to provide remote administrative and secretarial support to senior legal professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting lawyers in a busy legal environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with discretion and professionalism. This role is best suited to someone with prior experience in the legal field—particularly within Australian, UK, or common law jurisdictions—and who thrives in a fast-paced virtual work setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, and maintain calendars for lawyers and legal teams.
  • Draft, format, and proofread legal correspondence and documentation.
  • File and organize electronic documents, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.
  • Liaise with clients, court personnel, and third parties in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with timekeeping, billing, and document management software.
  • Perform legal research and compile supporting materials as directed by supervising lawyers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Legal PA.

  • Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and document types.

  • Experience supporting lawyers in litigation, corporate, or commercial law is highly regarded.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management systems (e.g., LEAP, Clio, Actionstep).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment.

  • Experience working with clients and legal professionals in the Australian or UK legal sector is a plus.
