About This Position

As a Retail ITAD Tech with Dymin in Urbandale, Iowa, you will help move retail IT equipment through intake, evaluation, data protection steps, and preparation for reuse, resale, or responsible recycling. Day-to-day work centers on accurate sorting, standard technical checks, tracking, and documentation so every unit is handled consistently and securely. This is an on-site, full-time Retail ITAD Tech position focused on dependable execution of IT asset disposition tasks in a team setting near Urbandale.

Core Duties

• Receive, unpack, and sort retail IT hardware such as computers, peripherals, and related devices
• Inspect, test, and grade equipment condition according to established checklists and quality standards
• Perform or support data sanitization and secure wipe processes to protect sensitive information
• Tag, label, and log assets into inventory systems for accurate tracking throughout the ITAD workflow
• Separate units for refurbishment, resale channels, or environmentally responsible recycling destinations
• Prepare pallets, boxes, and shipments following handling and chain-of-custody procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow safety practices while lifting and moving equipment
• Document work performed and escalate unusual findings, damage, or process issues to leadership
• Support continuous improvement of retail IT asset disposition throughput and quality

Who We're Looking For

• Interest in IT hardware, retail technology, and IT asset disposition (ITAD) work
• Basic comfort with computers, cables, ports, and common device types
• Strong attention to detail for sorting, testing, labeling, and data security steps
• Ability to follow step-by-step procedures and compliance-minded processes
• Dependable work habits, good organization, and willingness to learn on the job
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift and move equipment of typical sizes for this role
• Clear communication skills for team coordination and status reporting
• Prior experience in IT support, warehouse tech handling, electronics recycling, or retail operations is helpful but not required if you learn quickly
