Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan accurate welds and fabricated assemblies.
• Perform welding operations with common processes such as MIG, TIG, and stick to join various metals cleanly and securely.
• Measure, cut, grind, and form metal stock using shop tools and equipment to create custom parts and structures.
• Fit and assemble components, ensuring alignment and structural integrity before and after welding.
• Inspect finished welds and fabrications for defects, making adjustments to meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Maintain welding equipment, workstations, and tools in safe working order while following all shop safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to complete fabrication jobs efficiently and troubleshoot material or process issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator or in a closely related metal fabrication role.
• Solid working knowledge of welding methods, filler materials, and joint preparation techniques.
• Ability to read and follow technical blueprints, diagrams, and measurement instructions accurately.
• Comfort operating standard shop machinery including grinders, saws, and related fabrication equipment.
• Physical capability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a production environment.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality output, and adherence to workplace safety practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant welding certifications viewed favorably when already held.
