Senior Protection Manager (Case Management and MHPSS Supervision)

Theirc is seeking a Senior Protection Manager (Case Management and MHPSS Supervision) for a full-time role based in El-Geneina, Sudan. This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced professional ready to oversee high-quality protection programming in a demanding field setting.

Position Summary

As Senior Protection Manager (Case Management and MHPSS Supervision) in El-Geneina, Sudan, you will provide strategic and technical leadership for case management systems and mental health and psychosocial support supervision. You will strengthen service delivery quality, coach teams, and ensure protection standards are applied consistently across programmes. The position reports into the wider protection structure and requires close coordination with operational colleagues on the ground.

What You'll Do

• Direct the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of individual case management pathways for protection clients.
• Provide clinical and technical supervision to MHPSS teams, including case-file reviews, reflective practice sessions, and skills coaching.
• Set and monitor quality benchmarks for case management documentation, referral pathways, and risk-assessment protocols.
• Build staff capacity through regular training, mentoring, and joint field visits in and around El-Geneina.
• Facilitate inter-agency coordination on protection, case management, and psychosocial support standards.
• Analyse trends in case data and MHPSS needs to inform programme adjustments and advocacy points.
• Ensure safeguarding, confidentiality, and do-no-harm principles are embedded in all protection activities.
• Contribute to work plans, donor reporting, and protection risk assessments as required for the Senior Protection Manager (Case Management and MHPSS Supervision) portfolio.

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a senior protection role with direct responsibility for case management systems and MHPSS supervision.
• Strong technical knowledge of international protection standards, GBV and child-protection case management, and mental-health and psychosocial support frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and performance-manage multidisciplinary field teams.
• Solid skills in data analysis, reporting, and adaptive programme decision-making.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic language proficiency is highly advantageous for work in El-Geneina, Sudan.
• Willingness and ability to operate in a complex humanitarian context with frequent field engagement.
• Relevant university degree in psychology, social work, public health, international development, or a related discipline.
