What You'll Do

• Perform thorough developmental and medical evaluations of pediatric patients to identify disabilities, delays, and co-occurring conditions.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans that address motor, cognitive, communication, and behavioral needs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, then collaborate with physicians and therapists to refine treatment approaches.
• Educate families and caregivers on developmental milestones, strategies for home support, and available community resources.
• Document assessments, progress notes, and treatment responses accurately while ensuring continuity of care across the team.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences to coordinate services and monitor long-term developmental trajectories.
• Advocate for patients during clinic visits and follow-up to help them achieve the greatest possible functional gains.

Skills & Qualifications

• Current national certification and Texas state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Advanced Practice Provider credentials).
• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited advanced practice program with emphasis on pediatrics or family practice.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in pediatric developmental disabilities, neurology, or related specialty settings preferred.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and care-planning abilities for children with complex developmental profiles.
• Excellent interpersonal and teaching skills for guiding families through emotional and practical aspects of care.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and a commitment to evidence-based, family-centered practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively in Dallas-area clinical environments while maintaining professional autonomy as an APP.
