Key Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwich, salad, and sliced meat and cheese items according to department standards and guest requests
• Greet customers, take orders, and recommend deli products with a friendly, helpful approach
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked display cases, counters, and work areas throughout each shift
• Follow all food-safety and sanitation procedures while operating deli equipment such as slicers and scales
• Rotate product, check dates, and properly store leftovers to minimize waste and ensure freshness
• Assist with department setup, down-stocking, and closing duties to keep the deli ready for the next day
• Collaborate with fellow team members to complete tasks efficiently during busy periods

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong customer-service orientation and clear communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required for deli work
• Basic understanding of food handling, portion control, and safe knife or slicer use
• Reliability, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn department procedures
• Prior retail, food-service, or hospitality experience preferred but not required
