What You'll Do

• Operate electronic locating instruments to pinpoint electric, gas, water, sewer, and communication cables beneath streets and properties across Buffalo, Wyoming
• Apply color-coded paint and flags that accurately show utility paths on job sites
• Study ticket requests, maps, and facility records before heading into the field
• Coordinate findings with excavators and crew leads to clarify safe dig zones
• Document completed locates thoroughly and submit updates through company systems
• Drive to successive assignments while maintaining awareness of traffic and site conditions
• Uphold personal protective equipment standards and company safety guidelines at every stop

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Current, valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
• Comfort working outdoors in changing Wyoming weather for extended periods
• Physical ability to walk varied terrain, carry equipment, and stand for long stretches
• Close attention to detail when reading maps and operating locating devices
• Clear verbal communication for on-site discussions and reporting
• Willingness to learn industry color codes and software used by Utility Locators
