SOC Engineer – L2-2

Join Nttlimited as a SOC Engineer - L2-2 in Mumbai, India, and play a key role in our security operations centre. This full-time position offers the opportunity to strengthen our incident detection and response capabilities through technical expertise and analytical acumen.

What This Role Involves

As a SOC Engineer at Level 2, you will be central to monitoring, detecting, and investigating security incidents across our infrastructure. Working within our security operations centre team, you will analyse security events, respond to threats in a timely manner, and help improve our security posture through continuous monitoring and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

• Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems and other security tools for suspicious activity and anomalies
• Analyse alerts, logs, and network traffic to identify and investigate potential security incidents
• Document incident details, timelines, and findings whilst following established incident response procedures
• Escalate critical security findings and elevated alerts to senior analysts and management as appropriate
• Assist in threat containment, remediation, and recovery efforts during active incidents
• Support the implementation of security monitoring enhancements, rule tuning, and detection improvements
• Maintain accurate records and metrics related to security events and incident response activities

Skills & Qualifications

• Relevant security certification such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker, GIAC Security Essentials, or equivalent
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, or a related security role
• Solid understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and common security tools
• Practical experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight, Elastic, QRadar, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to incidents with appropriate urgency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
