What This Role Involves

As Senior Technical Program Manager, Applied AI at LILT, you'll direct the design and delivery of high-impact programs that harness advanced AI to solve real translation challenges. You'll orchestrate collaboration across engineering, product, and business functions while stewarding complex technical initiatives that enable faster, more accurate, cost-effective content translation at scale. This leadership position requires both strong program management discipline and genuine understanding of applied artificial intelligence systems.

Core Duties

• Establish program strategy, timelines, and success metrics for AI-driven translation initiatives
• Align engineering, product, and commercial teams around shared milestones and technical outcomes
• Manage program execution, identify dependencies and risks, and drive resolution of blockers
• Assess and integrate AI technologies—machine translation systems, human-in-the-loop workflows, and NLP innovations—into product and service delivery
• Synthesize technical information for leadership and translate business requirements into engineering direction
• Mentor cross-functional stakeholders in AI capabilities and limitations to drive informed decision-making

Requirements

• 6+ years in technical program or product management, with demonstrated success shipping AI, machine learning, or complex software systems
• Proven track record leading and influencing cross-functional teams in ambiguous, high-uncertainty environments
• Technical acumen: ability to rapidly acquire deep understanding of AI/ML concepts and discuss architectural tradeoffs with engineers
• Experience managing multi-phase programs with nonlinear technical risk and evolving requirements
• Excellent communication ability across technical and non-technical audiences, from IC engineers to C-suite
• Prior exposure to machine translation, natural language processing, or localization is valued
