Role Overview
As an Event Videographer with Shootday, you'll be the creative eye behind the camera at dynamic events throughout the Washington, D.C. area. Your mission is to shoot stunning, high-quality RAW video footage that captures the energy, emotion, and significance of each event. We've designed this role so you focus on fieldwork and creative cinematography while our editing team transforms your footage into polished final products that clients love.
Your Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality RAW video footage on schedule for various event types
- Execute creative shot composition and camera movement to tell visual stories
- Manage equipment professionally and maintain technical standards on-site
- Coordinate timing and logistics with event planners and the Shootday team
- Deliver raw footage that supports the editing workflow and exceeds quality standards
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience shooting event videography or comparable visual work
- Strong technical command of professional video cameras and production gear
- Portfolio demonstrating cinematic vision, composition, and visual storytelling
- Reliability and punctuality in on-time delivery of footage
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a production team
- Understanding of RAW video formats and technical specifications
