Technical Designer

Duck Head is hiring a Technical Designer for our Atlanta, Fulton County office. This full-time position will be based in our corporate headquarters and offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to product and design excellence within the Oxford Industries family.

What This Role Involves

As a Technical Designer at Duck Head, you'll bridge the gap between design vision and technical execution. This role centers on translating creative concepts into functional, implementable designs while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams. You'll tackle complex design challenges, develop scalable solutions, and ensure that every detail supports both user experience and business goals.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Create and refine design documentation, specifications, and prototypes that guide development teams
• Partner with engineers and product managers to validate design feasibility and optimize implementation
• Establish and maintain design systems and component libraries for consistency across products
• Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to strengthen the quality of deliverables
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, testing, and technical constraints
• Document design decisions and maintain clear communication channels with stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Designer, UX Engineer, or similar design-focused technical role
• Strong proficiency with design tools and prototyping software
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies, web standards, and responsive design principles
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative environments
• Portfolio demonstrating technical design work and problem-solving approach
• Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality, accessible design
