About This Position

As a Certified Surgical Technician in our Operating Room, you will play a vital role in ensuring surgical procedures run smoothly and safely. Working alongside experienced surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, you'll help create an environment where patient outcomes are prioritized and operational efficiency is paramount. Your Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before, during, and after procedures
• Assist surgeons by handing instruments and materials during operations with precision and anticipation
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and ensure sterile field protocols are upheld throughout all procedures
• Monitor and count sponges, needles, and instruments per protocol to ensure patient safety
• Operate sterilization equipment and manage instrument processing to support operational flow
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team to coordinate timing and equipment needs
• Document surgical details and maintain detailed records as required
• Comply with infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in the operating room

Skills & Qualifications

• Current Certified Surgical Technician (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Experience working in an operating room or perioperative setting
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and aseptic technique
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
• Clear communication and teamwork skills essential for OR collaboration
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and manage manual tasks
• Commitment to patient safety and continuous professional development
