We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead development of a customer support platform at ruchika@arsquaretech.com, based in San Ramon, Contra Costa County. This is a full-time, on-site position working on AI-powered customer engagement systems.
The Opportunity
This role centers on building and enhancing an intelligence-powered platform that streamlines customer support workflows. You'll architect backend systems that integrate with leading customer service tools, leveraging large language models and cloud infrastructure to create seamless support experiences. The work involves solving complex challenges in conversation routing, data integration, and real-time AI inference at scale.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design and implement Python/FastAPI backend services that connect Gladly, Sierra AI, Zoho CRM, and Shopify
- Build AI-powered conversation classification and routing pipelines using GPT-4o and other language models
- Architect AWS infrastructure to support production customer support operations
- Lead technical code reviews and mentor junior developers on the platform team
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions
- Optimize system performance and reliability for high-volume customer interactions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in backend systems
- Strong proficiency in Python and frameworks like FastAPI or Django
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and building data pipelines
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and containerized deployments
- Familiarity with large language models, AI services, or conversational AI systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team
