Sr. Manager- Learning & Development

Lead workforce development at Bishop Lifting Products Inc, a cornerstone of the lifting industry since 1984. We're seeking a Sr. Manager of Learning & Development to build and direct our training programs in Crestwood, Houston.

The Opportunity

Bishop Lifting Products Inc has grown into an industry powerhouse by equipping our workforce with the knowledge and skills to excel. As Sr. Manager of Learning & Development, you'll design and execute learning strategies that support our teams across product lines—from rigging solutions to below-the-hook equipment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape how we develop talent, retain expertise, and maintain the high standards our customers have relied on for over 40 years.

Core Duties

• Assess organizational learning needs and develop comprehensive training curricula across departments
• Lead, mentor, and manage the learning and development team
• Design and implement onboarding programs for new hires in technical and non-technical roles
• Evaluate training effectiveness through metrics, feedback, and performance outcomes
• Stay current with L&D best practices and emerging training technologies
• Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and competency requirements
• Oversee training budgets and vendor management

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in learning and development, training management, or related leadership roles
• Proven ability to design and deliver training programs at scale
• Demonstrated leadership in building and developing teams
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and instructional design tools
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field preferred
