Role Overview
As AVP of Software Engineering, you'll drive innovation and technical direction for critical systems serving financial advisors and their clients. You'll combine hands-on engineering expertise with leadership acumen, overseeing team performance, architectural decisions, and the delivery of scalable solutions. This role sits at the intersection of strategic vision and execution—where your technical judgment directly influences how millions of advisors operate.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor software engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
- Design and oversee implementation of scalable, robust software systems and platform architecture
- Partner with product, business, and operations teams to translate strategic goals into technical roadmaps
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance protocols
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption of tools that enhance engineering velocity
- Drive code reviews, technical design discussions, and knowledge-sharing across engineering functions
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a software engineer or engineering leader with a strong technical foundation
