Technical Trainer Instructor – Senior

Join Cummins Inc. as a Senior Technical Trainer Instructor at our Service facility in Atlanta, Fulton County. This full-time role focuses on designing and delivering advanced technical training programs that develop our technician workforce and support operational excellence in the service sector.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll shape the technical capabilities of our service teams. You'll partner closely with service management to understand evolving skill requirements and design training initiatives that directly impact technician performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Your expertise will help ensure our Atlanta-area technician workforce stays current with the latest service protocols and equipment maintenance best practices.

What You'll Do

• Analyze service department staffing and competency levels to identify skills gaps and project training needs across the technician population
• Develop comprehensive training curricula and instruction schedules that address identified skill development priorities and support business objectives
• Conduct engaging hands-on and classroom technical training sessions covering service procedures, diagnostic techniques, equipment operation, and maintenance protocols
• Provide ongoing technical guidance and coaching to technicians to reinforce learning and support continuous improvement
• Assess trainee progress and adjust training delivery methods to maximize knowledge retention and skill application

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a technical trainer, instructor, or similar role in a service or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of service operations, technical systems, and equipment maintenance
• Demonstrated ability to develop training materials and deliver instruction to diverse technical audiences
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
• Leadership experience and the ability to mentor and coach technician-level employees
• Ability to work in-person at our Atlanta, Fulton County location
