About the Role

Bestica is recruiting an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse for a temporary staffing assignment in the Kettleman area. This position places you in a critical care environment where you'll work the night shift, providing comprehensive nursing support to cardiac and cardiovascular patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention. The assignment runs for 13 weeks at 48 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts structured to deliver consistent, focused patient care during overnight hours.

Core Duties

• Monitor cardiac patients continuously, interpreting vital signs, rhythm strips, and hemodynamic data
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by the care team
• Provide direct patient and family education regarding recovery, equipment, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain detailed, accurate clinical documentation and charting
• Respond swiftly to patient changes and implement appropriate clinical assessments

Who We're Looking For

• Current RN license valid in California
• Demonstrated experience in CVICU or similar critical care settings
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Current NIH (National Institutes of Health) stroke certification or equivalent
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member
