About the Role
As a Commodity Manager at Sedgwick, you'll take ownership of category strategy and supplier relationships to optimize cost, quality, and delivery across our operations. This role combines analytical rigor with relationship management, offering the chance to make a measurable impact on our supply chain efficiency and our ability to serve our customers effectively.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies that align with business objectives and drive cost savings
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards
- Analyze market trends and spending patterns to identify opportunities for optimization
- Manage supplier performance and relationships, ensuring on-time delivery and service excellence
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, and finance teams to meet supply chain goals
- Track and report on key performance metrics including cost reduction, quality improvements, and supplier scorecards
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of procurement, supply chain, or commodity management experience
- Demonstrated ability to drive negotiations and build productive supplier partnerships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis
- Experience with supply chain management tools and ERP systems
- Excellent communication and project management abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
