Senior Analytics Engineer (Azure)

You will be:

• gathering and refining business requirements for reporting and analytics initiatives,
• designing and maintaining business focused data models and semantic layers,
• developing data transformations using SQL and dbt,
• building and optimizing datasets used for reporting and self service analytics,
• developing dashboards and reports in Power BI,
• defining and maintaining KPIs, metrics, and reporting standards,
•  working closely with Data Engineers to ensure high quality, reliable, and governed data pipelines,
•  supporting business users in interpreting data and deriving actionable insights,
•  contributing to data quality monitoring and validation processes,
• participating in workshops with business stakeholders and help translate business questions into analytical solutions.

Your profile:

• strong SQL skills,
• hands on experience with dbt,
• experience designing analytical data models,
• experience building Power BI dashboards and reports,
• experience with Python for data analysis and transformation,
• experience working with Databricks,
• familiarity with Azure Data Lake and modern lakehouse concepts,
• knowledge of dimensional modelling (Kimball),
• ability to gather and document business requirements,
• good understanding of KPI definition and business performance measurement,
• experience working with modern cloud based data platforms,
• strong communication and stakeholder management skills,
• upper-intermediate English. 

• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• experience with Microsoft Fabric,
• knowledge of Data Vault modelling,
• experience supporting executive or financial reporting,
• experience in engineering, construction, professional services, or project based organizations,
• understanding of Microsoft Purview and enterprise data governance frameworks.
