Transaction Coordinator

Join Compass in Orange County as a Transaction Coordinator and become an essential part of our Contract to Close team. This full-time position offers you the opportunity to streamline real estate transactions while supporting our agents in delivering superior service to clients throughout Southern California.

About the Role

Transaction Coordinators at Compass handle the operational backbone of residential real estate deals. You'll manage the administrative workflow from contract signature through closing, processing approximately 25-30 transactions per month. Working as the central point of contact for agents, lenders, title professionals, and clients, you'll ensure every deadline is met, every document is accurate, and every party stays informed. This role requires you to be in our local Orange County office twice monthly; otherwise, you'll work in a flexible arrangement designed to maximize your productivity and focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and organize real estate transaction documents from inception to close, maintaining strict compliance with brokerage protocols and California legal requirements
• Process and validate real estate contracts with precision, verifying timeliness and accuracy throughout the transaction lifecycle
• Monitor critical deadlines and deliverables to keep deals moving toward settlement without delay
• Work within company systems to audit compliance records and commission calculations for accuracy
• Answer agent questions about commission structures, deductions, and payouts
• Coordinate across sales managers and support teams to provide agents with seamless, responsive assistance

Skills & Qualifications

• California Real Estate License (required)
• Minimum 5 years of active real estate experience in this market
• Thorough understanding of California real estate law and standard transaction documents (SFAR, PRDS, local area disclosures)
• Demonstrated expertise in transaction coordination and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency with DocuSign, Google Suite, and CTM platforms
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Ability to analyze complex contracts and make sound decisions based on contractual language
• Commitment to protecting agent and client confidentiality
• Capacity to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Customer service mindset with exceptional detail orientation and problem-solving ability
• Bachelor's degree preferred
