Vice President, Head US Medical Immunology

Join Novartis as Vice President, Head United States (nationwide) Medical Immunology, where you'll lead our immunology medical affairs strategy across the United States. This is a full-time, executive leadership position based in our East Hanover, New Jersey office.

About the Role

We're seeking an accomplished healthcare executive to oversee all medical affairs initiatives for our immunology portfolio in the United States (nationwide) market. As VP, Head of United States (nationwide) Medical Immunology, you'll shape clinical strategy, medical education, and stakeholder engagement while driving the broader success of our immunology business. This Band Level 8 role reports directly to senior leadership and requires strategic thinking, deep medical expertise, and the ability to influence across complex healthcare systems.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop comprehensive medical affairs strategy for immunology products across all United States (nationwide) segments
• Direct medical education programs and clinical evidence initiatives for healthcare providers and specialists
• Build and mentor a high-performing medical affairs team, fostering excellence and accountability
• Serve as the primary medical voice in cross-functional discussions with commercial, regulatory, and clinical operations teams
• Engage key opinion leaders, research institutions, and healthcare systems to advance clinical understanding and adoption
• Ensure all medical communications comply with regulatory requirements and company standards
• Participate in domestic and international travel as defined by organizational needs

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of healthcare or pharmaceutical experience, with significant medical affairs or clinical leadership background
• Proven track record managing large medical affairs teams and complex medical strategies
• Deep knowledge of immunology, rheumatology, or related therapeutic areas
• Strong understanding of the United States (nationwide) healthcare system, payer dynamics, and regulatory landscape
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to build relationships with clinicians and healthcare systems
• Strategic mindset with demonstrated business acumen
• MBA or advanced healthcare degree preferred
