Field Technician

About the Role

As a Field Technician with EchoStar, you'll perform essential installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting services at customer locations throughout your service area. This on-site position requires you to work independently and collaboratively, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to quality service and technical excellence.

What You'll Do

• Install and configure satellite television, smart home systems, mobile equipment, and related technologies at customer homes and businesses
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field, minimizing service interruptions and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Perform routine maintenance and system inspections to keep equipment operating at peak performance
• Interact professionally with customers, explaining services and addressing technical questions or concerns
• Document all work accurately, maintaining detailed service records for quality assurance and follow-up
• Travel throughout Sanford and surrounding areas in Seminole County, responding to scheduled and emergency service requests

What We're Looking For

• Technical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Strong communication and customer service orientation—you'll represent EchoStar directly in customers' homes and businesses
• Physical capability to perform field work, including climbing, lifting equipment, and working in various weather conditions
• Reliability and professional demeanor; a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to service your territory
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends when needed to serve customers
• Previous installation or technical service experience is valuable, but we'll train the right candidate
