About the Role
The School Climate Administrator position is central to building and maintaining welcoming, respectful, and inclusive school cultures where students thrive. You'll develop and implement comprehensive strategies that foster positive behavior, student success, and meaningful engagement across multiple schools or throughout the district. This exempt, full-time position works Monday through Friday with occasional evening and weekend commitments during school events and community activities. Hybrid telework arrangements are available for eligible work activities.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate school climate improvement initiatives at the district and building levels
- Design and execute programs and policies that promote positive student behavior and engagement
- Partner with administrators, teachers, counselors, and support staff to implement evidence-based practices
- Analyze school climate data to identify needs, set measurable goals, and track progress
- Conduct professional development and staff training on climate-related topics and strategies
- Establish and strengthen partnerships with families and community stakeholders
- Oversee discipline procedures and restorative practices aligned with district policy
What We're Looking For
- Valid North Carolina teaching license or administrative certification
- Proven experience in school administration, instructional leadership, or school climate development
- Expertise in student behavior management and positive school culture frameworks
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills
- Proficiency with data analysis and educational management systems
- Deep commitment to building equitable and inclusive school communities
