Envirogen, a water treatment innovator based in Kingwood, Houston, is hiring a Process Engineer. In this full-time role, you'll design and optimize the treatment processes that ensure clean, safe water meets the most rigorous operational standards.

About the Role

This position focuses on developing, refining, and overseeing the manufacturing and treatment processes that form the backbone of Envirogen's water solutions. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and operators to advance process efficiency, product quality, and compliance with environmental regulations—all while contributing to our broader mission of delivering sustainable water systems to industry and municipalities.

What You'll Do

  • Design, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing and treatment processes to meet specifications and quality benchmarks
  • Specify equipment, systems, and materials that support process reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
  • Investigate process deviations and operational challenges, implementing solutions to restore and improve performance
  • Verify that all processes comply with environmental standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, and design teams to identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous enhancement
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures for all process workflows
  • Support the transition of processes from research and development through to full-scale production

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
  • Knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and industrial unit operations
  • Background in water treatment, industrial manufacturing, or process-oriented engineering environments
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Clear communicator—comfortable writing reports, creating technical presentations, and sharing findings with cross-functional teams
  • Collaborative working style; ability to integrate effectively with diverse engineering and operations groups
  • Comfort with standard engineering software and CAD tools; experience with process modeling or simulation is a plus
