Lezzer Lumber is hiring a Mechanic for our Curwensville, Clearfield County location in Pennsylvania. This full-time position is essential to maintaining and repairing equipment across our retail stores, commercial door facilities, and manufacturing operations.
About the Role
Since 1927, Lezzer Lumber has established itself as one of the nation's premier building supply providers and the 30th largest lumber dealer in the United States. As our Mechanic, you'll play a vital role in keeping our fleet and equipment operational across our growing network of facilities throughout Pennsylvania. Your work directly supports our retail, commercial door, and truss manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance and comprehensive inspections on equipment and machinery
- Diagnose mechanical failures and execute repairs efficiently to minimize operational downtime
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and service records for all equipment
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests across multiple facility types
- Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and recommend cost-effective solutions
- Collaborate with operations and facility teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience as a mechanic or equipment maintenance technician
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities
- Proficiency with standard hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities
- Commitment to workplace safety and equipment care standards
- Valid driver's license preferred
