Powerserve Technologies Inc seeks an experienced Substation General Foreman for our Jacksonville, Duval County operations, serving the broader North Florida region. This full-time leadership position oversees electrical substation construction and installation projects throughout the area, from St. Augustine to Pensacola.
About the Role
As Substation General Foreman, you'll lead crews on complex electrical infrastructure projects across North Florida, managing day-to-day operations while ensuring all work meets safety standards, budgets, and timelines. This hands-on supervisory role combines technical expertise with team leadership and direct site presence.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and direct substation construction and installation crews on active job sites
- Enforce safety protocols and OSHA compliance across all project phases
- Schedule work activities, allocate resources, and track project progress and milestones
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and utility personnel
- Perform quality inspections, identify issues, and implement real-time solutions
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and daily site reports
- Mentor crew members and uphold safety and training standards
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in electrical construction with proven foreman or supervisory background
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and substation operations
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training required
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between job sites across North Florida
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to working in the field and leading by example
