West Fraser is hiring a full-time Maintenance Planner in Ahoskie, Hertford County, to direct the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance activities across our facility and keep operations running at peak performance.

About the Role

In this position, you'll own the scheduling and organization of all preventive and corrective maintenance work, coordinating closely with maintenance teams to align priorities and track progress. You'll maintain the comprehensive records, documentation, and files that drive facility analysis and inform long-term maintenance strategy. Your focus on accuracy and detail will ensure that every work order is tracked, every task is scheduled efficiently, and management has the visibility they need to make informed decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs across the facility
  • Review daily maintenance time sheets and reconcile them against completed work orders and planned maintenance items
  • Establish and maintain accurate maintenance records, files, and documentation for trending and performance analysis
  • Coordinate with maintenance crews to optimize scheduling, sequencing, and resource deployment
  • Generate maintenance performance reports and analytics for management and continuous improvement efforts
  • Identify bottlenecks and opportunities to enhance maintenance processes and operational uptime

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning, work order management, or industrial scheduling
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Ability to work with preventive maintenance programs, work orders, and technical documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Comfort with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Meticulous record-keeping and accuracy in data management
  • Familiarity with industrial manufacturing or facility operations environments
