About the Role
The Autonomy Actions Sustaining team focuses on maintaining and improving the autonomous vehicle systems currently operating in the field. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll investigate complex technical problems, architect robust solutions, and drive deployment of fixes that enhance system performance and safety. Your work will directly impact the growth and reliability of our autonomous driving capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Investigate and troubleshoot real-world issues in production autonomous driving systems
- Analyze system logs, telemetry data, and incident reports to understand root causes
- Design and implement technical solutions that address identified problems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including safety, testing, and operations
- Deploy fixes and monitor system performance in the field
- Contribute to improving system reliability, safety, and autonomous capabilities over time
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong background in distributed systems, production software, or systems-level programming
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex technical systems
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages
- Familiarity with software testing and quality assurance practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse technical teams
