Director, Data Analytics ACO – Remote

Lead data analytics strategy for Sound Physicians, a national, physician-founded medical group operating across 400-plus hospitals in 45 states. This full-time remote director role, based in the Northlake, DeKalb County area, offers the opportunity to drive data-informed clinical and operational decisions for one of the largest multi-specialty physician networks in the nation.

About the Role

As Director of Data Analytics for our Accountable Care Organization, you'll oversee a critical function that translates complex healthcare data into actionable insights. You'll partner with clinical leadership, quality teams, and hospital partners to optimize ACO performance, patient outcomes, and financial sustainability. Your analytics vision will inform strategy across emergency medicine, hospital medicine, critical care, anesthesia, and specialty services—impacting care delivery for thousands of patients nationwide.

What You'll Do

• Direct the data analytics function for the ACO, setting strategy and priorities aligned with national healthcare quality and value-based care goals
• Lead development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data models tracking clinical quality metrics, cost performance, and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and CRNAs across 400-plus hospital partnerships to design analytics solutions supporting clinical decision-making
• Analyze cost drivers, utilization patterns, and outcomes data to identify improvement opportunities and support evidence-based care optimization
• Manage relationships with hospital systems and external data partners; ensure data governance, security, and regulatory compliance
• Build and mentor an analytics team; establish best practices for data management and reporting infrastructure

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, business analytics, healthcare administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 7+ years of healthcare data analytics or business intelligence experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proven expertise in ACO, value-based care, or healthcare quality metrics and financial performance analysis
• Strong SQL, data visualization, and analytics platform skills; experience with healthcare data systems (EHR, claims) a plus
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate technical findings for clinical and executive audiences
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change through data insights
