Kenton County School District is recruiting a full-time Building Operations Support specialist for Summit View Academy. This on-site evening position plays a critical role in maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming learning environments across our schools.
About the Role
As Building Operations Support, you'll work an eight-hour shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, ensuring our facilities meet health, safety, and operational standards. This is a full-time position with direct impact on student and staff well-being through proactive maintenance and facility care.
What You'll Do
- Perform custodial and cleaning operations throughout assigned school buildings
- Maintain common areas, classrooms, restrooms, and specialized spaces to district standards
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively
- Respond to urgent facility needs and report maintenance issues to appropriate personnel
- Follow established safety protocols and district procedures for chemical handling and waste management
- Collaborate with building administration and maintenance teams to support operational continuity
- Monitor facility conditions and identify areas requiring attention or upgrades

- Ability to pass a required physical examination
- Demonstrated aptitude and competence for building operations and custodial responsibilities
- Physical capability to perform the essential functions of the role (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)
- Reliability and commitment to consistent attendance
- Attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, functional spaces
- Willingness to work the posted evening shift schedule
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and safety guidelines
