About the Role

As a Lead Building Engineer at CBRE, you'll manage the performance and reliability of critical building infrastructure. Working with operational independence and strategic guidance, you'll oversee system diagnostics, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure facilities meet performance standards. Your expertise will be central to maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient building environments across our Charlotte portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, mechanical equipment, HVAC installations, and plumbing infrastructure throughout buildings
• Diagnose equipment faults and implement repairs using specialized technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
• Monitor real-time building system operations, performance metrics, and automated controls to optimize efficiency
• Coordinate installation and upgrades of building machinery, controls, and related components
• Respond to system failures and emergencies with swift troubleshooting and remediation
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and system documentation to ensure regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with facilities teams and external contractors to execute projects and resolve technical issues

What We're Looking For

• Proven expertise in building systems maintenance, with hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC disciplines
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex building infrastructure
• Strong understanding of building automation systems, controls, and performance monitoring
